7.00 p.m. We begin with our Opening Worship followed by the Keynote Address given by Dr Sallie McFague and Mr Douglas Todd.

Monday, 5 July 2010

8.30 a.m. Our first day begins with Morning Worship.

9.00 a.m. Morning Worship will be followed by the first Plenary Session with Karen Ward.

10.30 a.m. Our Morning Break will be hosted by volunteers from Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in North Vancouver.

10.45 a.m. With our bodies refreshed we return for the second Plenary Session with Mark MacDonald.

12.15 p.m. Lunch is on your own or with a group.  We will provide maps with suggestions of near-by eateries.

1.45 p.m. Please return promptly in time to begin your first Workshop.

3.15 p.m. The Afternoon Break will give you an opportunity to meet some folks from Saint Mary’s Anglican Church in the Kerrisdale neighbourhood of Vancouver.

3.30 p.m. Although it’s tempting to chat, please move to your second Workshop.

5.15 p.m. We will conclude our first day with Evening Worship.

6.00 p.m. Once worship is finished, you will have a choice to spend a free evening to explore Vancouver or to participate in the ordination of the Rev. Dr. Greg Mohr, the new Synodical Bishop for the British Columbia Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada, at 7:00pm at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 2350 - 148th Street, Surrey, BC (phone - 604-536-8527).

8.30 a.m. We assemble once again for Morning Worship.

9.00 a.m. The third Plenary Session  with Karen Ward will follow Morning Worship.

10.30 a.m. You’ll have your chance to meet the volunteers from Saint Anselm’s Anglican Church on the University Endowment Lands during the Morning Break.

10.45 a.m. The fourth and final Plenary Session with Mark MacDonald concludes the morning activities.

12.15 p.m. Lunch today will give you an opportunity to visit a new eatery or return to enjoy yesterday’s venue.  Invite someone you haven’t had a chance to visit with for lunch.

1.45 p.m. Your third and final Workshop will bring this portion of the Conference to an end.

3.15 p.m. Organ fans will have a chance to do an ‘Organ Crawl’ while the rest of us enjoy an afternoon in Vancouver.

6.30 p.m. Sage Bistro on the UBC campus will be the location for our reception, dinner and presentation of the ‘Companion of the Worship Arts’, a tradition of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada.  The reception with a cash bar begins at 6.30 p.m. with dinner at 7.00 p.m.  Dinner is included with your Conference registration.

Wednesday, 7 July 2010

8.30 a.m. Our final morning begins with Morning Worship.

9.00 a.m. We have scheduled an Interactive Session with Bishop Mark MacDonald and Pastor Karen Ward, our plenary speakers, as an opportunity for conversation.

10.30 a.m. At the end of the Interactive Session join our volunteers from Mount Zion Lutheran Church in New Westminster for the Morning Break.

10.45 a.m. We will bring our Conference to an end by breaking open the Word and the Bread of Life together in a celebration of the Eucharist.  By noon we shall be sent forth to take care of the neighbourhoods in which God has placed us.
